Ek Onkar

Ik Onkar ( ੴ, ਇਕ ਓਅੰਕਾਰ, Ēk Ōaṅkār, Roman transliteration Ik Onkar) is our real God . He is only one not only this world but millions of worlds according to Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji . His name is only true . He is the operator of all work from beginning of world . He does not fear from anybody. There is no hatred and no enemy of him . His existence is unaffected by time and he does not take birth and he is self-existent . In sanskrit , it is called OM .

ੴ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥ ॥ ਜਪੁ ॥

ਆਦਿ ਸਚੁ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਸਚੁ ॥

ਹੈ ਭੀ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹੋਸੀ ਭੀ ਸਚੁ ॥੧॥

ਸੋਚੈ ਸੋਚਿ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਜੇ ਸੋਚੀ ਲਖ ਵਾਰ ॥

ਚੁਪੈ ਚੁਪ ਨ ਹੋਵਈ ਜੇ ਲਾਇ ਰਹਾ ਲਿਵ ਤਾਰ ॥

ਭੁਖਿਆ ਭੁਖ ਨ ਉਤਰੀ ਜੇ ਬੰਨਾ ਪੁਰੀਆ ਭਾਰ ॥

ਸਹਸ ਸਿਆਣਪਾ ਲਖ ਹੋਹਿ ਤ ਇਕ ਨ ਚਲੈ ਨਾਲਿ ॥

ਕਿਵ ਸਚਿਆਰਾ ਹੋਈਐ ਕਿਵ ਕੂੜੈ ਤੁਟੈ ਪਾਲਿ ॥

ਹੁਕਮਿ ਰਜਾਈ ਚਲਣਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਨਾਲਿ ॥੧॥

I think this name is so easy to speak because there is no tongue distrubance . There is also very great meaning of this great word . There are many benefits of speaking "Ek Onkar " , which can be explain in following way :

(a) When a person starts to remember true God with true name , his mind becomes spiritual and pure .

(b) After speaking Ek Onkar , he forget to hate with other , he understands that every body is the part of God . This is my weak point , so in future he never hates with others . This is the real welfare of world when everybody leaves the bad thinking of hate .

(c) With speaking Ek Onkar , we can make friendship with our Sworn enemy because , in this great word has the power . God has no enemy . When we speak his name , it means that we should not make enemy in this world . Our behaviour becomes just like friend with others .

(d) When we find salvation , we never wonder in 84 lakh births of different living organs.
